Nomenclatural details

Liothrips piperinus Priesner, 1935: 361.

Biology and Distribution

Described from Habon, Taiwan on Piper sp.. Recorded from Hainan island in China, Honshu, Kyushu, Izu islands and Ryukyu islands, Japan on Piper kadzura leaves. Also recorded on Castanopsis cuspidate and C. sieboldii and on Elaeocarpus sylvestris (Okajima, 2006).
