Bolothrips (Botanothrips) Hood, 1939: 605. Type species Bolothrips pratensis Hood, by original designation.

Boloadelothrips Moulton, 1949: 489. Type species Boloadelothrips africanus Moulton, by monotypy. Synonymised by Mound & Palmer, 1983: 35.

Biology and Distribution

At least 15 species, widespread around the world, often at the bases of grasses and sedges.
