Sphaeropothrips Priesner, 1928: 322. Type species Sphaeropothrips inauditus Priesner, 1928, by monotypy.

Ednathrips Bhatti, 1976: 320. Type species Ednathrips pardus Bhatti, 1976, by monotypy. Synonymised by Bhatti & Mound, 1981: 12.
