Described from Iran, Khorasan-e-shomali province, from flowers of Elaeagnus angustifolia (Elaeagnaceae).

Holotype female, Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum (HMIM),Iranian Research Institute of Plant Protection, Tehran; paratypes in Senckenberg Museum, Frankfurt and Australian National Insect Collection, Canberra.
