Nomenclatural details

Melanthrips hispanicus Pelikan, 1977: 16.

Melanthrips sesamoidae Marota and Berzosa, 1994: 112. Synonymy in zur Strassen (2003).

Biology and Distribution

Described from Spain, and recorded from Portugal and Algeria, in flowers of Reseda and Sesamoides (Resedaceae).
