Nomenclatural details

Hydatothrips proximus Bhatti, 1973: 426.

Hydatothrips jiawensis Chou & Feng, 1990: 11. Synonymised by Mirab-balou et al, 2011: 57.

Biology and Distribution

Described from Mussoorie, Uttar Pradesh, India, beaten from fern. Also collected from Cypressus tonulosa and Cedrus deodara and Pinus sp. in Himachal Pradesh, India; jiawensis described from Shaanxi Province, China.
