Nomenclatural details

Perissothrips aureus Ananthakrishnan, 1954: 159.

Perissothrips hartwigi Bhatti, 1967: 12.

Biology and Distribution

Described from India, P. aureus from Coimbatore, from Sesbaenia aegyptica leaves and P. hartwigi from Panchavati, Nasik district from a spiny shrub.
