Ramakrishnothrips Shumser, 1942: 112. Type species Taeniothrips jonnaphilus Ramakrishna 1928, by original designation. Synonymised by Bhatti, 1970: 380.

Pellothrips Ananthakrishnan, 1969: 204. Type species Ornothrips fuscus Ananthakrishnan 1965, by monotypy. Synonymised by Bhatti, 1970: 380.

Biology and Distribution

Genus includes four species from Asia and one (S. longistylus) from Africa.
