Merothrips cognatus Hood, 1925: 53. Synonymised by Mound & O'Neill, 1974: 499.

Biology and Distribution

Described from Louisiana USA (M. fusciceps) and Trinidad (M. cognatus), this species has also been taken in Brazil and Japan, living on dead branches.
