Genus information

Erythrothrips (Aduncothrips) Ananthakrishnan, 1963: 99. Type species Erythrothrips asiaticus Ramakrishna & Margabandhu, by monotypy.

Biology and Distribution

Among seven species in this genus, two recorded from New Zealand and New Caledonia, one from are placed in this genus. One species, A. asiaticus was found to be predatory on several different Thripidae but the feeding habits of other Aduncothrips species are not yet clear.
