Nomenclatural details
Pyrgothrips conocephalus Karny, 1924: 36.
Fulgorothrips priesneri Faure, 1933: 63. Synonymised by Mound, 1974: 90.
Biology and Distribution
P. conocephalus is stated to be from Australia, but apparently is from South Africa as is F. priesneri (Mound, 2012). The species also recorded from Madagascar (Minoura & Mound, 2019).
