Genus information

Taeniothrips (Belothrips) Haliday, 1836: 450. Type species Taeniothrips (Belothrips) acuminatus Haliday, 1836, by monotypy.

Nigritothrips Bhatti, 1978: 96. Type species Belothrips longistylosus Priesner 1920, by original designation. Synonymised by Mirab-balou et al., 2025.

Biology and Distribution

Two European species are placed in this genus.
