Bolothrips (Botanothrips) Hood, 1939: 605. Type species Bolothrips pratensis Hood, by original designation. Synonym by Mound, 1974.
Boloadelothrips Moulton, 1949: 489. Type species Boloadelothrips africanus Moulton, by monotypy. Synonymised by Mound & Palmer, 1983: 35.
