Biology and Distribution

Described from Finland (L. nigripennis), Michigan USA (M. leucus) and India (S. acuminatus). Widespread on young fronds of cultivated ferns, particularly Pteris cretica (Mound 1999). Recorded from fern in Honshu, Japan (Maumoto & Okajima, 2017).
