Nomenclatural details

Gynaikothrips mirabilis Schmutz, 1913: 1041.

Gynaikothrips karnyi Bagnall, 1914: 28. Synonymy in Mound 2020, 389.

Biology and Distribution

Described from the botanical gardens, Peradenya, Sri Lanka on Pavetha hispida and in rolled leaf margins of pepper plant (L. mirabilis), from marginal leaf galls of Piper nigrum, same place (G. karnyi).
