Nomenclatural details
Merothrips fusciceps Hood & Williams, 1915: 123.
Merothrips cognatus Hood, 1925: 53. Synonymised by Mound & O'Neill, 1974: 499.
Biology and Distribution
Described from Louisiana USA(M. fusciceps) and Trinidad (M. cognatus), this species has also been taken in Brazil, living on dead branches.
