Merothrips genuinus Hood, 1938: 354. Synonymised by Mound & O'Neill, 1974.
Biology and Distribution
Described from a single female from Paraguay, and the synonym M. genuinus from Florida, this species has also been taken from dead branches in the Caribbean, Brazil, South Africa and Japan.
