Genus information
Megathrips Targioni-Tozzetti, 1881: 124. Type species Megathrips piccioli Targioni-Tozzetti (=Phloeothrips lativentris Heeger), by monotypy.
Siphonothrips Buffa, 1908: 389. Type species Siphonothrips elegans Buffa, by monotypy. Synonymised by Mound & Palmer, 1983: 78).
Biology and Distribution
Apparently an Holarctic genus.
