Ophidothrips Schmutz, 1909: 273. Type species Ophidothrips handlirschii Schmutz, by monotypy. Synonymised by Moulton, 1933.
Lophothrips Karny, 1911: 503. Type species Lophothrips antennatus Karny, by monotypy. Synonymised by Moulton, 1933.
Biology and Distribution
The identity of some of the 15 species in this Neotropical genus needs confirmation based on suitable series to investigate structural varation.
