Genus information
Actinothrips Bagnall, 1909: 332. Type species Actinothrips longicornis Bagnall, by monotypy.
Dasythrips Hood, 1937: 521. Type species Dasythrips regalis Hood, by monotypy. Synonymised by Mound & Palmer, 1983).
Biology and Distribution
This Neotropical genus of 13 described species is classified in the sub-tribe Hystricothripina.
