Nomenclatural details
Merothrips mirus Crawford JC, 1942: 152.
Biology and Distribution
Described from southern Brazil, where the species appears to be quite widespread on dead branches. The identity of several apterous females identified by Hood as this species remains equivocal (Mound & O'Neill, 1974).
