Nomenclatural details

Haplothrips globiceps Bagnall, 1934: 496.

Haplothrips inoptatus Priesner, 1954: 56. Synonymised by Minaei & Mound, 2008: 2642.

Biology and Distribution

Described from Smyrna, Turkey on Vitis vinifera; inoptatus from Shiraz, Iran on leaves of Salix sp.
