Nomenclatural details

Merothrips morgani Hood, 1912: 132.

Merothrips hawaiiensis Moulton, 1937: 411. Synonymised by Bailey, 1960: 59.

Biology and Distribution

Described from Homer, Illinois USA from under hickory and oak bark (M. morgani) and Molokai, Hawaii USA from wind trap (M. hawaiiensis). Also found from California USA.
