Nomenclatural details

Phlebothrips aegyptiacus Priesner, 1965: 284.

Pseudodendrothrips canariensis zur Strassen, 1965: 13.

Biology and Distribution

Described from Giza, Egypt from Convolvulus arvensis, also from Euphorbia cuneata and Lycium arabicum (P. aegyptiacus) and from Gran Canaria, on flowering Plocama pendula (P. canariensis). Recorded from the Canary Islands, South Africa as well as Israel, UAE, Yemen and Saudia Arabia.
